America’s Factory Outlet Stores (AFO) Limited Warranty
America's Factory Outlet Stores offers a limited in-store warranty for your purchased products. Here's what your AFO warranty does and does not get you.
What is covered:
Products are warranted against failure due to a defect in materials or workmanship from the date of original purchase. Proof of the original purchased date is needed to make a warranty claim. If your unit fails within the warranty period, AFO will repair or replace the unit at our discretion. The repaired or replaced unit is warranted for the remainder of your product's original warranty period. An AFO warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. The AFO warranty is valid only in the 48 contiguous United States, and the District of Columbia.
What is not covered:
All sales are final. AFO only allows returns for defective products. Remorse returns are never allowed - once you purchase the product, AFO will only accept a return if the product is defective. Return shipping to an AFO store is not covered. As the customer, you are responsible for returning the item to the store for warranty repair or replacement. AFO will not be liable for any extraordinary expenses, including freight, delivery, assembly or other items. Products sold by AFO with a manufacturer warranty, batteries, any problem that is caused by abuse or misuse of the product.
What Your Warranty Does Not Cover: Improper installation; Failure of the product if it is abused, misused, or used for other than the intended purpose or used commercially; Replacement of house fuses or resetting of circuit breakers; Damage to the product caused by accident, fire, floods or acts of God; Incidental or consequential damage to personal property caused by possible defects with this appliance; Cosmetic defects.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. To know what your legal rights are, consult your local or state consumer affairs office or your state's Attorney General.
For how long:
Unless otherwise noted in the product details, an AFO warranty covers a period up to 90 days and starts on the date of purchase. If a manufacturer's warranty is present, it is up to the customer to verify any additional coverage.
What AFO will do:
Repair or replace the product, or if a replacement is no longer available, refund the purchase price in the form of store credit.
AFO DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF AFO CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. AFO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
